Calling all Chichester Green Party members. We need you for the County Council Polling day on May 7th!

Polling day work is vital for making sure our votes make it inside the ballot boxes. Many people need a push to vote or a friendly reminder that today is the day. There are two key roles for the day so please choose which one you are interested in.

Knocking up

The friendliest canvassing day around. Knocking up "the vote" is what we call knocking on voters door who are likely to vote Green (the reason we do all that canvassing) and trying to make contact with them during the day to get them to a polling station!

You will have a short script that essentially reminds people to vote if they have not done so already. This work is done in shifts and makes a real difference. The goal is to get every green voter to a station by the end of the day!

Polling Station attendee

Believe it or not but not everyone is completely set on who to vote for even as they walk through the doors of the polling station. A friendly smart Green face wishing them a good morning can make just the small difference and be that last push over the line people need.

Attendees are not allowed to try and influence voters so do not ask who they are voting for or try to sway people. The important thing is you are representing the candidate so dress to smart and always be polite.

After you sign up we will contact you before the day to give you more information. The most important thing is having volunteers available. Thank you!
