Join Chris Jones in Fort Dodge at the Matt Cosgrove Rivers Edge Discovery Center on Thursday September 3rd at 3pm for food, music and discussion about how to clean up Iowa's water and build a more resilient agricultural system.

Kicking off the final stretch of his campaign for clean water in Iowa, Democratic candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and Land Stewardship Chris Jones will paddle more than 100 miles down the Des Moines River the first week of September to draw attention to the pollution affecting one of Iowa's most important drinking water sources and to meet with Iowans along the way.

Each evening there will be a “Clean River Rally,” a public event with food, drinks, and local speakers. Iowa legendary folk song writer and performer Dave Moore will lead local musicians in events supporting cleaner water in Iowa. Families are encouraged to attend.
