Global Frackdown meets the Great March for Climate Action
Start: Saturday, October 11, 2014• 2:00 PM
On October 11, communities across the world are coming together for a global protest to call for a ban on fracking, a dangerous method of drilling for natural gas that puts our air, water, climate and communities at risk.
In solidarity with our anti-fracking allies around the world and our partners at Food & Water Watch, the Great March for Climate Action (climatemarch.org) conducts a collaborative action along its route to Washington DC. This action event seeks to gather support for a newly emerging statewide coalition called Pennsylvanians Against Fracking (PAF).
This is also a momentum-building event for the Beyond Extreme Energy actions that will be held specifically in DC following the arrival of the Climate March on November 1st and will continue through midterm elections over the first week of November.
