#ClimateElection Action at Tony Abbott's Office
Start: Friday, May 03, 2019•11:00 AM
Walk out of school, university or work and join us for a massive Warringah community action outside Tony Abbott's office.
The last thing Scott Morrison’s Government did before calling the Election was rubber-stamp Adani’s water approvals, bringing the coal billionaire one step closer to digging its deadly mine.
It has never been clearer who our Government represents: the coal lobby, not young people whose futures are on the line nor the majority of Australians who want urgent climate action.
The climate crisis is here and it’s hurting us now: extreme heat, crippling drought, severe storms, half the Reef dead. The number #1 cause of this crisis is the mining and burning of coal. Yet our Government is proudly spruiking Adani in an effort to win another three years of sticking up for coal in Canberra.
On May 3rd Warringah School Students will lead an action at Tony Abbott's Office to show that our community wants: 1. to StopAdani 2 . No new coal or gas 3. 100% renewable energy by 2030!
To change the politics of climate change we need everyone - this action is for the young, old and everyone in between - see you there!
