A Call to Action

About 2 months ago the children inside Dilley Detention Center screamed to be let free. Nearly 4,000 children have been booked into detention across the country. The children are writing letters about sadness, sickness, dirty water, and being locked away from school and away from their communities.

And we as mothers are answering their call. We are called to do everything we can to shut down the detention camps. We are fighting for a world where all children can grow up in safety, freedom, and equality.

On Saturday, April 25, moms and children will stand up to stop this violence and defend our kids’ future.

Join us for a Shut Down Dilley, Close the Camps, Bring Our Kids Home Vigil in our community! This is a family-friendly space where moms and children come together to stand with migrant families, create art for kids still in detention, and read letters from children at Dilley to show why this action matters. We gather rooted in love, family unity, and the belief that every child deserves safety, freedom, and a home — not cages.

We demand:

• Shut down the Dilley Detention Center, as well as the Detention Centers in Florence and Eloy.

• Close the camps.

• Bring our kids home and reunite families

• End family separation.
