Come Join the Charlotte Metro DSA in our monthly business meeting where we democratically shape the direction of our chapter. We highly recommend if you are a new DSA member or interested in becoming a member to come to one of our socials or actions before coming to our general meeting. These events are offer more space to meet comrades and learn about the organization. Our general meetings presume you have some understanding of current chapter work and are familiar with Robert's rules, a procedure we use for organizing the meeting, debating and voting on proposals. We've linked below some resources to learn more about these but will also provide a refresher 15 minutes before the meeting starts.

A reminder of our community Rules to those who do attend:

• Recognize and respect each other as such

• Assume good faith in each other

• Follow the norms of progressive stack

• Stay muted while others are speaking

• Consider whether to “step up” or “step back”

• Have a sense of humor (and some fun if you can help it)
