Join Central MS DSA on April 13th from 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM as we volunteer with The Stewpot’s food pantry and connect our work to the bigger picture.

Mississippi has some of the highest rates of food insecurity in the country, driven by low wages, limited access to grocery stores in many neighborhoods, and gaps in public assistance. Food pantries and community fridges help meet immediate needs, but they also highlight deeper systemic issues like food deserts and economic inequality.
