What is a Neighborhood Assembly?

It's a gathering of people who live/work in and/or care about an area, addressing local issues and working towards solutions through facilitated discussions, taking back control of the decisions that affect our everyday lives.

Who Are We?

We’re Co-Operation Manchester. In partnership with allies in Hull, Sheffield, and elsewhere, we’re on a mission to replace broken Party Politics and business-as-usual with Public Assemblies and Solidarity Economies across the North of England and beyond, as part of a global movement for real, genuine local people-powered democracy.

Sound good? Then come along. Spread the word. Tell your mates. We cater for kids of all ages too, so you can even bring them along and let them have a play while you get tucked into some proper democracy and yummy scran ?

Note: This is not a one-off event; this is the launch of a new institution which will sit whenever and however frequently the people decide.
