Greens winning

Join us for part 4 of our training program for future candidates and campaigners, as part of our Code Red, go Green 2023 District Council election campaign.

We're going for a weekend session this time as a few people have had trouble making it on a weekday evening.

So join us on Sunday 20th February 10am - 12pm to look at how we win elections: the timeline of an election campaign, what we do and how we do it. We'll draw on things we covered in the last session on messages, and look at what part candidates play in pulling off a winning campaign.

We've had a bit of a break since November, and if this is your first session over the last few months of the program, we've heard from current Green councillors about how the council works, how we work as a team, and how we put green policy into action. We've looked at what a 'message' is and how we get it across to voters. If you missed anything, Zoe or Anthony can arrange to catch you up.

We'll aim to keep meeting once a month online, occasionally in person as a group, and if you feel ready to go the distance and sign up to be considered as a candidate, we'll pair you up with a current councillor to be your 'buddy' and guide you through the next steps.

First time you've thought about standing? Download our prospectus for becoming a Green district councillor, and joining our team. Have a read, then RSVP and join us on the 20th.
