Coders' Day of Action: Let's help CodeCorps.org
Start: Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 7:00 PM GMT
End: Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 PM GMT
This is a virtual event

As our community reaches it's first month, we have seen and have heard a lot of the immediate issues within our community. For newcomers, there is currently no way of plugging their skills to a project that they feel strongly about. And for project leaders, it is hard to reach out to volunteers that have the skills they need and make their projects sustainable.
We are so lucky to have CodeCorps.org as a part of our community. Josh Smith is steadfastly leading CodeCorps.org which allows projects to become sustainable and manageable by providing a robust talent-matching and fund raising platform.
CodeCorps.org is in the middle of a code sprint and is pushing to have their API tasks done this week, with a production deployment on August 21.
It is in our best interest to assist CodeCorps.org. CodeCorps provides a platform that will enable us to fund and manage the projects within our community. It will make it easier for our members to plugin since CodeCorps relieves the stress of finding a project that works with our respective skill sets.
Join us this weekend for a 3-hour hackathon on Saturday, Aug 20, from 3p to 6p EST (12p - 3p PST). Pick one issue to help CodeCorps.org out! If you get to help the team out, your name may appear at their team page! Participants will also get one of the first Progressive Coders Network shirt!
If you are a Phoenix or Ember.js developer, an HTML/CSS enthusiast, and a Sketch designer, we want you! You can also help out in the API documentation. For more information, checkout the following links:
