Join Chris Jones in Ledges State Park at the Henning Shelter at 8am on Sunday September 6 for a send off the final day of his Paddle Trip for Clean Water!  Light breakfast and snacks will be available.

Kicking off the final stretch of his campaign for clean water in Iowa, Democratic candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and Land Stewardship Chris Jones will paddle more than 100 miles down the Des Moines River the first week of September to draw attention to the pollution affecting one of Iowa's most important drinking water sources and to meet with Iowans along the way.

Each evening there will be a “Clean River Rally,” a public event with food, drinks, and local speakers. Iowa legendary folk song writer and performer Dave Moore will lead local musicians in events supporting cleaner water in Iowa. Families are encouraged to attend.
