On Monday, July 31st, several employees from the Cold Spring Brewery walked off the job and have been staging a strike over unfair and unsafe working conditions, and intimidation by management. They have mandated overtime and work, at least, 72 hour weeks eleven straight days in a row. One person worked 136 hours straight without a day off.

In some areas of the plant it is estimated the temperature averages 110 degrees but it could be higher as their are no wet balls or other forms of measurement and ventilation's is poor. There are no adequate breaks and water is not readily available and workers are not offered drinks to replenish their electrolytes.

On Monday August 7th at 4:45pm we will stand in solidarity and let those leaving and going to work know they are not alone. We will show them what SOLIDARITY looks like. Please join us in your colors, bring friends, family and co-workers as fight for justice.
