Riverdale, MD - No Kings, Day of Defiance

Start: Saturday, June 14, 202510:00 AM

End: Saturday, June 14, 202512:00 PM

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.

On Saturday, June 14, we’re taking to the streets nationwide. We’re not gathering to feed his ego. We’re building a movement that leaves him behind.

The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. We’re not watching history happen. We’re making it.

On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t—to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings. Check out nokings.org for more information.

A note about the Parade: Unfortunately, our Indivisible chapter will no longer be hosting a parade. However, members are invited to join a short march organized by University Park residents beginning at 10am in University Park. This march will go down Route 1 and end at our new party location! For more details, and to sign up, please fill out this Google doc or contact Linda at linda_verrill@yahoo.com.

About No Kings Day

We’ll sing with the Rapid Response Choir, invite the crowd to swear the People’s Oath, and hear from local elected officials including State Delegates Ashanti Martinez and Nicole Williams. This is a family-friendly event - we will have FREE ICE CREAM and activities for all ages including music, pinatas, art projects, games, bubbles, and other joyful happenings.

Indivisible Route 1 Corridor and Indivisible Prince George’s County hope to see you there!

A core principle behind all NO KINGS events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.

Accessibility:
Parking Near the Party: There is street parking available in the neighborhood around Riverdale Neighborhood Park. In addition, there is ample parking at the Station at Riverdale Park. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk from the rear of the Station down the Trolley Trail to Riverdale Neighborhood Park.
