This is a virtual event

It’s almost time for Michigan Liberation’s Juneteenth Freedom Week of Action!  Join us as we host a week of actions beginning on Monday, June 14th with a panel discussion on The Impact of Cash Bail, ending with a Brake Light Clinic + Juneteenth celebration.

Ending cash bail means eliminating the structures that keep loved ones caged. What happens when people can't post cash bail? They're stuck in jail. For months. In some cases, years, before they ever get to trial.

From shackling folks with electronic monitors, investing in risk assessment over community. Please join organizers and community leaders including, Michigan Liberation’s Earl Burton, The Advancement Project’s, Ashley Carter and ACLU Michigan’s, Rodd Monts for a community conversation as we break down what’s wrong with cash bail, present an overview of the cash bail system, alternatives to Pretrial Services, recent bail reform measures, and legislation in the works to end cash bail in Michigan.

We hope you answer the call to join us as we expand our campaign work and continue to free as many folks as we can from cages for Juneteenth. Join this important discussion… The work to #endcashbail has never been more urgent!
