Community Meeting and Testimony Training with Families Not Feds and MDC DSA's Community Defense

On Thursday, November 5th, Brooke Pinto’s Judiciary and Public Safety Committee will host a public hearing about heightened federal agent and national guard activity on our streets and at our schools.
In preparation for this hearing, Families Not Feds and MDC DSA's Community Defense Working Group will host a community meeting and testimony training on October 24th. This meeting will bring together neighbors to discuss our first hand experiences with the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force, go over best practices for testifying at public hearings, and establish community demands for our elected representatives.
We understand the terror that has been inflicted in our neighborhoods by federal agents, the national guard, and MPD. We must come together, make our voices heard, and fight for a D.C. government protects families, not feds.
