Value of Nature in climate resilience
Basics of local government and planning board functions
How to become involved in civic processes
How to advocate for open space protection with a focus on the roles of land in resiliency
Balancing land protection with community housing and development need

This presentation will work to answer questions such as:

•What will your community look like in 20 years?
•Will forests and farmlands disappear?
•How land-use decisions are made in your community?
•How local governments operate in Massachusetts and how you can get involved. In particular, this virtual workshop will focus on the value of natural areas for climate resilience, and guide you through how to speak up for open space protection in local planning.
