Printmaking is an art form with the power to shape the way we understand social issues and also spread messages of justice and solidarity far and wide. Movements throughout the 20th century used screenprinting, block printing, and other forms of printmaking to create powerful and evocative posters, signs, and other images.
On January 17, join DC artists Rose Jaffe and The Arcade DC for a community printmaking session for a Free DC. Come to experiment with screenprinting and blockprinting techniques, learn about radical printmaking traditions, and produce printed materials to wear and carry. Participants are welcome to bring blank tote bags, t-shirts, and sweatshirts or any cotton fabric to print on. Register using the form below for this workshop and skill session.
