CUFA will be taking a trip to Columbus, OH to join forces with Columbus Stand Up; Green Workers Alliance; Justice, Unity and Social Transformation (JUST); People's Action Institute (PAI) and others to speak out against utility providers, like Columbus' American Electric Power (AEP) and our very own Duke Energy. These greedy monopolies continue to rob ratepayers and ditch responsibilities to provide clean, affordable, and reliable energy while continuing to make record billions in profits, and THAT AIN'T RIGHT! We will also be providing a sneak preview of a national white paper, Blueprint for Affordable Energy, that is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, 2/3/26, and demanding a rate hike moratorium as well!
There will be various groups from all over in attendance to throw down with us: Indivisible Columbus, Common Cause, Freedom Together Foundation, Sierra Club, and West Virginia Citizen Action! So join us and ride up with CUFA!
The action is scheduled to begin at 12 PM in Columbus, so we are planning to leave from CUFA's office location at Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church no later than 9:15 AM. There will be roles that will need to be filled during the action (such as Marshalls, Hype Crowd, Observer), and we will be providing food and drinks during the trip, so please register so we can prepare and keep you updated. Just bring your voice and energy!
PLEASE NOTE: Registration closes at 11:59 PM on Sunday, 1/25/2026.
