Welcome to the People's Hearings!

Hosted by Texas State Reps. Ana-MarĂa RodrĂguez Ramos and John Bryant in Dallas, the Texas Legislative Progressive Caucus is bringing the State Legislature directly to the working families of Texas this summer. Your elected officials in the Texas House and Senate will hold public hearings across the state, hear the stories of struggling Texans, and expose the barriers that keep our families from thriving. The central topics for the Dallas hearing are affordability, labor rights for working Texans, and funding Public Education in Dallas.

Our “People’s Hearings" will deliver working Texans a real voice in their state legislature. You will hear testimony directly from experts and community members and will have the opportunity to make public testimony directly to your elected representatives!

Now Including State Representatives:

  • Ana-MarĂa RodrĂguez Ramos, Chair-TLPC, HD 102;
  • John Bryant, General Counsel-TLPC, HD 114;

What is TLPC? The Texas Legislative Progressive Caucus (TLPC) is working to lower the cost of living for all working Texans, regardless of race, heritage, or creed. As elected members of the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate, we introduce and advocate for forward-thinking legislation that puts working families first in the Texas Legislature. TLPC provides resources and support to its members and partners with grassroots communities across Texas.
