Start: Saturday, July 11, 2026•01:30 PM
Location: The Sunnyslope Church• 3330 School St., Wenatchee, WA 98801 US
Artificial intelligence is driving an unprecedented boom in data centers across Washington State, including throughout North Central Washington. Powered by some of the nation's cheapest hydropower, our region has become a target for energy-intensive industries seeking vast amounts of electricity and water. What does this mean for Wenatchee and neighboring communities? How will growing demand from data centers affect electricity rates, water resources, air quality, land use, and local decision-making? Who decides how our shared resources are used, and who benefits from their use?
Join local residents, organizers, and advocates for a community forum exploring how data centers are reshaping our region, their connection to artificial intelligence and surveillance technologies, and what communities can do to demand transparency, accountability, and local control.
Free and open to the public.
