We have an exciting opportunity to help elect our first Green councillor on Teignbridge District Council.

A by-election has been called in Dawlish South West ward which is taking place this Thursday 25th June.

This is our last opportunity to tell voters about our amazing local champion, Scott Williams, the current Deputy Mayor and Town Councillor on Dawlish Town Council.

💪 We need your help!

Both Reform and the Lib Dems are also campaigning hard for this election. The Lib Dems are telling voters that voting for them is the only way to keep Reform out - voting Green is a wasted vote 😱. This makes it more important that we continue to deliver our message of change to residents of Dawlish South West. Scott is a very hard-working member of the town council, with a real passion for the environment. Only this week was he rolling up his sleeves with the local community to help clear sediment from Dawlish Brook.

📋 Plan of Action

10am - Meet at Sea Breeze café (EX7 9PH - a 1 minute walk from Dawlish Station 🚂)
10:15am - Briefing session
10:30am - Teams head off campaigning

• 🚪🗞️ Leafletting

12:30pm - We'll find a spot for lunch -- bring a picnic/packed lunch! (there will also be plenty of places to buy lunch nearby)
2pm - Afternoon campaigning session
4pm - Regroup for a debrief / 🍦 / social gathering

✅ What to bring...

 🎒 Bag/backpack to carry leaflets
 🥄 Wooden spatula/spoon to help post leaflets through letterboxes
 💧 Water bottle to stay hydrated
 🧢 Dress appropriately - it will likely be warm, so bring a hat / suncream!

😧 First time at an Action Day?
You're very welcome! We always go out in teams, so you'll never be on your own. We always pair newbies with someone more experienced so that you can shadow them. Full training will be provided by our friendly campaign team. Green Party Action Days are always a fun activity to help make a real difference in the local community, whilst meeting like minded people 😃

There is also an election for the Town Council on the same day where our super Green candidate Dawn Rivers is up against a Lib Dem for election to hopefully join Anthony, Scott and Rachel on the Town Council.
