Just 202 votes. That's all that stood between the Greens and our first-ever seat on Dover District Council at the last election for Guston, Kingsdown, and St Margarets-at-Cliffe. On Thursday 27th August, we have another chance and with your help we can get over the line.

Our candidate, Dr Ingrid Dodd, is a former doctor and passionate local campaigner. She is standing to fight for cleaner seas by tackling sewage pollution along our coastline, to oppose damaging over-development, and to ensure local people have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect their communities.

This isn't just about Dover & Deal. Under local government reorganisation, Dover will join Canterbury and Thanet in a new unitary authority. Winning here would elect the first ever Green Dover District councillor, giving us a stronger voice across the future authority and helping to build momentum for Green gains across the whole area.

This is your chance to help win a seat that could have an impact far beyond one ward. Every doorstep conversation could be the one that secures those final few votes. These conversations will win this for Ingrid and the Greens.

Whether you can spare an hour or stay all day, we'd love your help knocking on doors and talking to voters. If you've never canvassed before, don't worry; we'll pair you up with an experienced volunteer and make sure you feel welcome.
