It’s election season and more than 20 candidates are vying for the open at-large seat on the DC Council. In the name of our vote, we are going to party, dance, and grill the top five candidates in the race about how they are going to serve us for the next two years. SPACEs In Action and Long Live GoGo are holding an At Large Candidate forum on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 14th and U Streets NW. We will have a forum and open space celebration of ourselves. We will go from 4:30PM - 7:30PM. The candidate forum will begin at 5:00PM. We will hold the forum outside, practicing social distancing. Our partners include DC Early Learning Collaborative, Don’t Mute My Health, Shutdown DC, Green Scheme and Under 3 DC.

We are going to be asking all the toughest questions, and you’ll have a chance to ask some questions too. The event is free and open to the public. The issue areas of focus will be primarily health equity and early learning for children.

We selected candidates to invite based on who has 400 or more donations from DC residents, according to DCGeekery as of September 3, 2020. Due to the limited time for the forum, and our goal of encouraging social distancing during the forum, we have invited five candidates to engage in the forum.
