We invite you to join Sustain Saint Paul and Neighbors for More Neighbors this fall for a three-part organizing training series designed to grow your relational organizing skills, investing in yourself and your work within our community and beyond!
Together, we’ll dive into core tools of organizing, such as having effective one-on-one conversations, exploring our own self-interest, and organizing 101 to better understand how change occurs. Between sessions, you’ll get the chance to practice your skills and bring your learning back to the group. The practice is designed to integrate into the work you might already be doing. Whether you’re brand new to organizing or a seasoned veteran, this training will make you a more effective advocate for housing justice, help you build stronger connections to your community, and give you a toolbox for creating meaningful action.
Logistics:
Part I will be an in-person training hosted on October 11th. A light breakfast, lunch, and childcare will be provided. Check-in and breakfast will take place between 8:30 and 9:00 am, and programming will begin at 9:00 am.
Parts II and III will be available online on November 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and December 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. If you have a scheduling conflict with the second or third session, please still sign up to participate.
