With the election fast approaching, and attention to racial justice issues being given short shrift, this is a moment to build our base and our power. Thousands folks signed up for SURJ this summer; many are now integrated into the chapter, but most, though they genuinely want to be involved, have not found their way in.

Please join us in our effort to call up each one of them and support them in getting engaged for the long haul. What that looks like is really checking in about how they're doing, listening as they process some of the obstacles they experience to their desire to take action, and sharing our own experiences. This deep approach goes beyond a simple "ask" to join another action. Instead, by leading with our stories, we build a connection where the desire to take action springs up organically.

This phonebanking effort is also a key pillar of our chapter’s strategy for growing our base of white people committed to organizing for the long haul. We could really use your help making these calls.

This is an onboarding session for new callers. No SURJ experience required--we are with you every step of the way! The session includes training, time to make calls with a live support person at your fingertips, and space to debrief afterwards.
