The Orange County Board of Supervisors wants to divide us - we’re not going to let that happen.

Join the Our Revolution Orange Coalition along with Orange County Immigrant Youth United, Chispa OC, Resilience Orange County, Korean Resource Center, and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network to #DefendSanctuary on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018 at 8:30 AM. We must fight to ensure that we ALL feel safe in our local communities – and it will require a focus on places and people many of us tend to ignore in our advocacy: the County Hall of Administration. There is no one-size-fits-all plan, and no law, legislator or national movement leader who will come save us. The responsibility lies with us and, we must start this work in our own backyards.

1. We must stop the constant criminalization of people of color.

2. We must stop police abuse and brutality.

3. We must stop private prisons from profiting from black and brown bodies.

4. Decouple Local Law Enforcement from Immigration Enforcement.

5. Promote Cooperation Between Immigrants and Local Law Enforcement.

6. Expand Access to Counsel for Immigrants.
