This is our chance to make sure our neighbors, friends, and family who work for tipped-wages can afford to live in Boulder. Let's get it done!

We'll rally at the Downtown Bandshell at 5:15pm, we'll hear from local advocates and workers on why this is an important issue, and at 5:55pm we'll move as one big group to the Municipal Tate Building for the in-person public hearing in city council chambers. We'll be supporting advocates who are signing up to give public comment. You are not expected to stay super late, and we'll be glad for any time you can commit!

• If you're intimidated by the idea of making a public comment this is a great opportunity to practice being brave. We'll be hosting a casual Public Comment Clinic on July 29th @ 6pm @ Jungle Rum Bar, and we'd love to see you there!

Our only demand: Members of the city council must vote to reject any proposal that would strip away the scheduled wage increases and protections for tipped wage earners in Boulder's restaurant and hospitality industries. Our tipped workers deserve better than a wage-cut 3 weeks before Sundance arrives — and collectively we can make sure that happens.
