Defund DAPL Rally and March

Start: Saturday, February 11, 201712:00 PM

End: Saturday, February 11, 2017 2:00 PM

Stand with Standing Rock and join us in targeting multiple Green Snakes (banks) that fund the Black Snake (pipeline).  This peaceful, family-friendly demonstration will involve a march through downtown Palo Alto of about 1.2 miles.  Opening ceremony at Palo Alto City Hall begins at 12 noon.  After the march to 8 DPAL financiers, we will return to City Hall for a closing ceremony.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring NoDAPL signs and banners and be ready to take group pictures in front of multiple banks that fund DAPL to the tune of over $2.6 billion.

The 2/11/17 protest in downtown Palo Alto is organized by the Green Party of Santa Clara County and endorsed by: Peninsula Peace and Justice Center (PPJC), Haiti Action Committee, All-African People’s Revolutionary Party, American Indian Movement--West, Lakota People's Law Project,  350 Silicon Valley, Peninsula Interfaith Climate Action group (PICA), Rise Up for Justice, Push for Progress and Raging Grannies Action League, with more groups to come.

We are a grassroots alliance of local organizations and activists from the Midpen and South Bay who are committed to organizing support for the movement to resist the Dakota Access Pipeline (NoDAPL).  In this critical moment in history,  we need everyone's support.  Please join us!
