As presidential hopefuls begin to announce their candidacies and our new Congress works to define their priorities, this is a key moment to keep up the pressure for real climate leadership and a Green New Deal. We've already seen the power of activists mobilizing in the halls of Congress to change the future of climate politics and make the Green New Deal a possibility. Let’s keep it up.

That's why on February 8th at 4 PM, we're joining a national day of action and bringing the call for real climate leadership to House Representative Jeff VanDrew's doorstep. We will ramp up our call for a Green New Deal by publicly calling on our elected leaders to commit to a just and equitable transition to a world free from fossil fuels, support green jobs, reject fossil fuel money, and endorse a Green New Deal.

The event will begin in front of the office building on Main Street with environmental speakers, and then we will proceed to House Rep VanDrew's office to present the petitions, and ask for his commitment to support the Green New Deal.
