How to Do Democracy Week in DSA continues on Monday, 05/18 with Day 2 and every member should attend this session whether you joined DSA last week or have been in DSA for years.
Tucson DSA is making real changes to how we operate. We're committing to more regular meetings where we actually deliberate, make decisions, and follow through together. That means all of us need to be on the same page about what democratic culture looks like, and the tools we'll be using to build it together.
Day 2 covers three topics:
→ What democracy actually is and how it works in our organization
→ A live update from the National DSA Democracy Commission on outcomes from the 2025 NPC convention and what they mean for our chapter
→ An HGO-led training on our Code of Conduct, Harassment & Grievance Policy, and how to use them
This isn't a lecture. It's a foundation.
