Día De Los Muertos: Honoring The Lives We've Lost

Start: Saturday, November 01, 202512:00 PM

Location:Foley SquareLafayette Street Worth Street, Centre St, New York, NY 10013 US

Rooted in indigenous tradition, Día de Los Muertos invites us to honor and remember those who were here before us, or have parted from this land earlier than we wished for them to do so. It invites us to remember their stories, say their names, and keep their resilience alive through love and remembrance.

On November 1st, 2025, Solidarity Organizing Initiative, alongside partners, will be displaying an altar in New York City honoring the lives of those who have died in the hands of this cruel immigration system.

As we build our ofrendas and light our candles, we also renew our commitment to fighting against the overreach of this authoritarian government — to a world where no one’s life is lost to incarceration, neglect, or xenophobic violence.
