Douglas County, Colorado saw an AMAZING turnout of around 800 people on April 5th, and we want to keep the momentum going! Let's get even more on April 19th!
This is a followup to the "Hands Off!" events and is part of the 50501 April 19th Day of Action!
Here in Representative Lauren Boebert's own district, we want to send the message loud and clear: "Hands Off!" We protest to defend our Constitution and condemn the unconstitutional, fascist actions of the Trump administration.
Hosted by the Douglas County CO Activism Task Force.
Please read event details below carefully. If you have questions, you can reach out to George Jackson at jackson4950@comcast.net.
Event Details
We will be protesting on the public sidewalks along Lincoln Avenue by the Lincoln Commons Shopping Center. We will be on the sidewalks on either side of Lincoln Avenue, between Commons Street and the Lincoln Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, as well as on the Pedestrian Bridge over Lincoln.
Parking: We recommend parking at the Lone Tree Arts Center (10075 Commons St.) as a first choice. If the Arts Center lot fills up, we recommend parking in the garage at The Conference Center at RidgeGate and Great Divide Brewery (9977 Sky Ridge Ave).
To reduce congestion and make parking easier, we recommend carpooling as much as possible :)
Bring signs!! This event is about visibility and getting our message out there. This is a busy shopping center, and the more signs we have to wave, the better!
This event is being held near Lauren Boebert's regional office, so feel free to make signs about Boebert if you choose!
To incorporate the Day of Action into this event, we will be collecting donations for the Help & Hope Center in Castle Rock (https://www.helpandhopecenter.org). Please bring something of the following list to add to our donation boxes!
