DSA 101: What We Believe, What We Do, and How to Get Involved

New to the DSA? Curious about what we're about and wondering if you would fit in?

Join us for DSA 101, a welcoming, no-commitment-required session for anyone who wants to learn more about our chapter, socialism, or DSA as an organization. Whether you recently signed up for our newsletter, have been following along from afar and are ready to get involved, or you are a new member looking to get you feet wet and find a working group, this event is for you.

We'll cover:

DSA 101 is a space for questions, conversation, and connection. No prior knowledge or experience is needed and you don't need to agree with us to engage. Come as you are, enjoy some food and refreshments for our in-person events, get a better sense of the future we are trying to build and how you might fit in our work.

All are welcome!

Can't make this event? Check back in later! We strive to hold a DSA 101 every month on the day after our general chapter meetings or as needed online.

Note on refreshments: we always try to provide some food and drink with vegetarian options. If you have any food allergies for us to consider, please send us an email before the event so we can make sure our options are inclusive.

There is an elevator in the library that can be used to access the 4th floor. While we do not have anyone who can use ASL, we can provide closed captioning for the presentation and discussions via Zoom. These meetings are typically run in-person, so if you would like a Zoom option or would like us to provide closed captioning, please give us a heads up by contacting us at outreach@westernmtdsa.org before the event. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible, so if there is some way we can improve our better accommodate you, please let us know and we will do our best to implement your recommendations!
