DSA 101: What We Believe, What We Do, and How to Get Involved

New to the DSA? Curious about what we're about and wondering if you would fit in?

Join us for DSA 101, a welcoming, no-commitment-required session for anyone who wants to learn more about our chapter, socialism, or DSA as an organization. Whether you recently signed up for our newsletter, have been following along from afar and are ready to get involved, or you are a new member looking to get you feet wet and find a working group, this event is for you.

We'll cover:

• What Democratic Socialists of America stands for and what it looks like locally
• Our current campaigns and organizing work
• The different ways to get involved
• How membership works, its importance, and what benefits it provides
• Our critiques of capitalism and why we see socialism as the next, higher evolutionary stage of how we can organize our society

DSA 101 is a space for questions, conversation, and connection. No prior knowledge or experience is needed and you don't need to agree with us to engage. Come as you are, enjoy some food and refreshments for our in-person events, get a better sense of the future we are trying to build and how you might fit in our work.

Can't make this event? Check back in later! We strive to hold a DSA 101 every month on the day after our general chapter meetings or as needed online.
