DSA-LB July 2025 General Membership Meeting

Please join us for our July General Membership Meeting (GM)! These meetings are fundamental Chapter democracy since we'll discuss & debate important items that shape our organizing.
- Provide updates and discuss how to get involved in Chapter-wide projects that passed at our Local Convention including:
- Programmatic Unity for DSA-LB
- Member Onboarding Pipeline
- A Socialist Electoral Strategy
- Ranked-Choice Voting for Long Beach
- Hear about organizing efforts around international activism and immigrant rights
- Discuss National Convention resolutions to provide feedback to our delegates
We are currently running a fundraiser to help support immigrant rights organizing in Long Beach. Consider donating today and based on the donation amount, you can take home some awesome merch at the GM! See our fundraiser page for more details.
As always light refreshments will be provided. To help us prepare, please register ahead of time.
Your in-person attendance is encouraged, but if you can only join us remotely the Zoom link will appear upon RSVP.
Masks are recommended for in-person attendees.

Location Information
The Youth Movement and Education Center is located in a former church at 2217 E. 6th St. Though it's a relatively nondescript building, you can see the Long Beach Forward logo from the 6th Street side. Follow the signage to the back of the building.
There is a small lot with first come, first serve parking at 621 Dawson St. (around the corner). You may park in any space not numbered 1-4 (these are reserved).
Street parking is typically available, but it is in a mostly residential neighborhood in Long Beach so...do with that information what you will.

- 91/92/93/94 - 7th and Dawson stop (1.5 blocks away)
- 21/22/23 - 7th and Cherry (2.5 blocks away)
- 151 - 4th St and Junipero (2.5 blocks away)
- 81 - 10th and Molina (6 blocks away)
