DSA-LA is taking part in the Summer of Resistance at Placita Olvera. This coalition of groups is occupying the space and not leaving until ICE is out of our city! Each day there are different events and DSA is adopting Saturday 7/5. We are inviting all DSA members and community friends to come through and join our actions for the day.

1-2:30 - Discussion and teach-in on the history of immigration and the Latino-Labor alliance in Los Angeles.

2:45 - 3:30 - DSA members have been taking part in the Home Depot Adoption action started by the National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON) and have been patrolling Home Depots and other Day Laborer locations that have been raided by ICE. Members will discuss recent actions around this and give a training on how YOU can get involved in protecting our city from ICE raids.

3:45 - 4:30 - Art build. Come take part in making signs and art to prepare for our march to the detention center to demand they release our neighbors and get ICE OUT OF LA.

5:00 - March to the Detention Center. This is a peaceful action hosted by the Summer of Resistance coalition to walk from Placita Olvera to the detention center where kidnapped Angelenos are being held. We demand that they release the people who have been taken from our communities and get ICE OUT OF LA!
