The Cubs will be presenting their updated parking lot expansion plan this coming Tuesday, May 12 at 6 pm at Sheffield’s Wine & Beer for the East Lake View Neighbor's meeting.

The updated plan only makes small cosmetic changes to landscaping and does not meaningfully address our core concern. It still creates hundreds of new parking spots in the neighborhood, incentivizing more traffic, congestion, and safety risks for our community.

The Cubs haven't even made a public announcement about this presentation yet. They're trying to sweep this under the rug and stonewall this plan over tons of community opposition. But even on short notice, we know we have the numbers and the energy to fight back. We need to show up in full force and oppose this plan.

The Cubs and other local leaders are dismissing our opposition, falsely accusing us of not being from the neighborhood. In your public comments, we need to be clear: we are from here, we don't want this, and the Cubs need to prioritize people over parking.
