Come learn about the history of the Socialist movement here in Milwaukee. This event will include a presentation about the history of the Sewer Socialists in Milwaukee, discussion activities in which participants will consider the strengths and weaknesses of actual socialist policies and political strategies in Milwaukee, and comparisons to our contemporary political environment. No prior knowledge necessary, just an open mind and a desire to learn about this important chapter in our city's radical history.
All accessibility standards on the Milwaukee DSA In-Person / Hybrid Meeting Checklist (based on the Accessibility Standards for Meetings) will be met for this event to the best of our ability. Please note that we will meet on the second floor of Zao MKE Church, which is not wheelchair accessible. Do not hesitate to reach out to the host of this event as soon as possible if you will have trouble reaching the second floor; if we are informed in advance, we will do our best to find a room on the first floor to meet.
