YDSA CALLS ALL CHAPTERS TO ATTEND OUR EMERGENCY MASS CALL IN SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE AND ALL STUDENTS ENGAGING IN MASS ACTION ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

The most exciting and militant action in the student movement this year is happening right now at Columbia. As we speak, hundreds of students are on DAY FOUR of their encampment demanding that Columbia divest from Israel. For the first time in FIFTY YEARS, Columbia President Minouche Shafik has allowed the NYPD on campus to arrest students protesting Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people. Columbia and Barnard students have been suspended, evicted from their dorms, and denied access to the buildings which THEIR TUITION pays for.

If it can happen at Columbia, it can happen anywhere. Already, across the country, we are seeing students rising in solidarity with the movement at Columbia. We are also seeking the sharp crackdown of university administration against their own students and against the tenants of academic freedom they claim to hold so dear.

The time is now. Every YDSA chapter across the country is called to attend this Mass Call on SUNDAY, APRIL 21ST, AT 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. We need to orient around Palestine, discuss the political moment we are in, and plan how we will respond. YDSA stands in solidarity with Palestine and stands against any form of student repression.
