End of Summer Outdoor Trek with the Mobilization Committee

Start: Sunday, September 21, 202512:00 PM

Location:Redtown Trailhead7498 Lakemont Blvd SE, Bellevue, WA 98006 US

Join the Mobilization Committee for our end-of-summer social with a two-leg trek at Cougar Mountain starting at the Red Town Trailhead!

The trip will consist of two legs, the first being a wheelchair accessible loop that will go for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. The second leg will take us to Cougar Mountain over the next four or more hours.

Carpools will be leaving the Tukwila International Boulevard Station at approximately 11:30am. Please indicate your carpool capacity or need in the appropriate field.

Attendees should dress appropriately for the weather and for those tackling the second leg, make sure to dress with appropriate layers given the elevation change. Boots and hiking poles are recommended. Have ample water with you and snacks to stay fueled, and if you have a first aid kit have it on you as a precaution.

Mobilization Committee will also be using the trip as a training exercise for radio communications, so if you have a programmed Baofeng bring it with so we can review and practice comms basics including channel switching and scanning as well as the SALUTE method for relaying information.

As always, we keep us safe.
