Transit is essential to solving the climate crisis. In California, over 40% of emissions come from the transportation sector. Unfortunately, transit agencies are struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Agencies are planning cuts and Caltrain is considering a complete shutdown if new revenue isn’t secured. Measure RR will prevent the shutdown of Caltrain and by creating new revenue for Caltrain.
