Our plan is to have at least two dozen decorated EV cars, E-bikes, and E-scooters follow a pre-selected loop in front of the Capitol for at least 30 minutes with pro-solar messaging. We will first gather at Parking Lot 3 at RFK stadium (2400 E Capitol St NE, Washington, DC 20003 US) at 11:00 AM ET where we will apply decorations, hear quick speeches, etc then make the one-mile drive together to the Capitol.

At noon, the parade will reach the Capitol, where there will be a press conference featuring national clean energy and climate advocates on the corner of 1st Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Vehicles will continue to circle around to provide a backdrop for the rally. If you do not have an EV vehicle, you can go directly to the press conference.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Any permitted driver with an electric car, truck, bike, scooter, skate board, unicycle, etc

ELECTRIC CHARGING: Please arrive with your vehicle sufficiently charged. There are no chargers at RFK. If you can, please charge your vehicle with solar power (at a home with panels or at a home or business powered with “community solar” electricity). Solar-charged cars will lead the parade.

DECORATIONS: Please bring pre-made signage that you can tape to your car windows when you arrive at RFK. Signage should have pro-solar messaging. Please keep signage creative but respectful, with no profanity. The Chesapeake Climate Action Network will also have limited sign-making materials at RFK. But better to make your own ahead of time. We will also have colorful red, white, and blue cray paper streams for folks to attach to their cars.
