On behalf of the Harbor Institute for Immigrant and Economic Justice, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a one-hour webinar where you'll learn which O.C. Congressmembers are immigration heroes, and which are immigration zeroes.

In 2025, Congress advanced a wave of immigration proposals—some expanding detention and deportation, others protecting Dreamers and due process. Orange County’s representatives didn’t vote the same way. Our new report breaks down how each OC member voted on key bills and why it matters here at home, where nearly one-third of residents are foreign-born.

At this webinar, Harbor Institute researchers will walk through the findings, compare voting patterns across OC districts, and connect federal votes to real local impacts, from detention exposure and family separation risk to free speech and civil rights. We’ll also cover what steps the community can take to turn up the heat and put some pressure on their legislators.

Bring your questions. We’ll leave time for Q&A and share tools you can use with your networks, congregations, classrooms, and coalitions.

You’ll Learn

  • Which OC members backed enforcement-first bills (e.g., the Laken Riley Act) and which opposed them, and why that matters in OC.

  • Where OC representatives supported pro-immigrant measures like protections for Dreamers and access to counsel.

  • How these votes intersect with local enforcement realities (e.g., transfers to ICE) and trust in public institutions.

  • Actionable talking points and data visuals you can share with your communities.
