Join Us for Transit Equity Day and Help Make a Difference!

Transit Equity Day is an annual event honoring the legacy of Rosa Parks and advocating for accessible, affordable, and sustainable public transit for everyone in Durham. This year, we’re hosting a rally to show community support for fare-free transit and sustainable investments in our transit system.

We need your help to make this event a success! By volunteering, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the day runs smoothly and that our message reaches as many people as possible.

Volunteer Roles Include:

• Setup Volunteers (1:30 PM – 2:30 PM): Help us prepare the rally site by setting up tables, signage, and supplies.
• Petition Volunteers (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Approach attendees to collect signatures for our petition to preserve fare-free transit.
• Hot Cocoa Volunteers (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Distribute hot cocoa while engaging attendees about the importance of public transit.
• Breakdown Volunteers (4:00 PM – 4:30 PM): Assist with cleanup and packing up materials after the rally.
