Every five years, Congress reauthorizes the transportation policies and funding that shape trails, biking, and walking infrastructure nationwide. The upcoming infrastructure bill in Congress, as well as changes in the Department of Transportation, will determine what's possible here in the Bay Area in the next five years and beyond.

In this webinar, Transbay Coalition’s Carter Lavin and DC-based federal transportation policy expert Giancarlo Valdetaro (Alliance for a Just Society) will discuss what's actually happening in the Capitol, how it trickles down to our streets, and what Bay Area advocates can do about it.

Giancarlo is an organizer with the National Campaign for Transit Justice. He spends much of his work and personal time fighting for a world where nobody needs to have a car in order to live a full life. Outside of that, you can find him going on long walks, baking, reading on the Metro, or enjoying good meals with good friends.
