Start: Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 9:00 AM GMT

End: Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM GMT

This is a virtual event

Are you involved in a local Fridays for Future group and want to grow your membership? Want to learn how to effectively connect with others in your community to build more support for climate action? Have you heard of "community organizing" or "grassroots organizing" before and want to know what it is that organizers do to empower community leaders and create social change?

If so, we encourage you to join an upcoming FFF Grassroots Organizing training! This time fits well for folks in Asia, Australia, Africa, and Europe. Be sure to check your time!

When aware of the time, make sure it is your local time. One way is use Google ask, and ask what is the time shown in your local time. For example, if the time announced is 20 CET and you live in Eastern (Coast time), write 'what is 20 CET in ET.' Google shows 1400 ET. Our apologies for lack of clarity.

This one-and-a-half hour sessions will cover

--Understanding the meaning and importance of grassroots organizing

--Basic steps and tools of organizing

--Applying organizing principles to grow the climate movement

We will send you the video call information will be made avaialble after you sign up.

If you have any questions, please email  Rolf at slowclimate@gmail.com.

FFF operates on a decentralized, nonhierarchical model, which means that we have no central leadership team and each local group has autonomy over its climate strike concepts and schedules, organizational model, and strategic goals. FFF trainings offered by the international trainings team are not meant to contain orders or directives, and we encourage each participant to adapt training content to the contexts of their own local groups however they see fit.
