We’ll gather before noon at the Oregon State Capitol Park by the Wall of Water Fountain, across the street from the Oregon State Capitol [900 Court St NE, Salem, OR 97301]. Please look for the AFT-Oregon banner. Boxed lunches will be available for all folks who have RSVP’d.

Oregon families are already struggling with skyrocketing health care costs, rising food prices, and housing that’s increasingly out of reach. Now, we face a new and urgent threat: billionaire tax giveaways passed in Washington, D.C. that would force devastating cuts to services here at home.

Oregon lawmakers have a real choice, which means we have an opportunity to beat a piece of Trump’s plan and exercise power that comes with all of us making our voices heard together. History shows that when leaders trust the multiracial working class and act with courage, the people show up and we win. But that only happens when lawmakers hear clearly from us.
