FREE Film Screening — Fault Lines: Inside the SF Housing Crisis (and what it means for Santa Cruz)

Start: Thursday, October 24, 2024 5:30 PM

End: Thursday, October 24, 2024 8:30 PM

Fault Lines film screening, Oct 24th at 6pm

Join us for a special evening as Santa Cruz YIMBY, in partnership with Housing Santa Cruz County, People First, and the UCSC Student Housing Coalition, hosts a FREE advance screening of Fault Lines, a powerful documentary set to enter the film festival circuit.

Fault Lines explores the housing crisis in San Francisco, but its themes resonate deeply with the challenges we face in Santa Cruz as well. The film weaves together the stories of a neighborhood fighting against developers, activists pushing for housing reform, and a family searching for stable housing.

After the screening, join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring Elaine Johnson (Housing Santa Cruz County), Corey Mosley (People First of Santa Cruz County), and Bodie Shargel (UCSC Student Housing Coalition) who will bring the conversation home and explore actionable solutions for our community. This is a unique opportunity to be among the first to view this important film and participate in a critical dialogue about housing in Santa Cruz.

We can’t wait to see you there!
