In late June, the SEPTA board was forced to adopt a budget that would slash nearly half its service due to lack of state funding. While state legislators have again missed the budget deadline of June 30th, there is still time to prevent cuts to SEPTA and public transit across the state.

Our fight is not over - we are entering budget overtime and transit funding can’t wait!

Thanks to your advocacy, transit funding passed the State House with bipartisan support but now the PA State Senate must act. We expect a budget vote in the next several weeks and our legislators need to hear from us - no budget without transit funding with Governor Shapiro’s funding proposal as the bare minimum.

Just like a Philly team in overtime, don’t bet against the power of advocates working together to speak out. The time to TAKE ACTION IS NOW!  We'll keep speaking out to fight for the transit system Philly and PA needs.
