Step away from the digital hum and into the quiet wisdom of the woods. Join us at the DDEC Eco Hut for an afternoon dedicated to slowing down, breathing deeply, and reconnecting—both with the earth and each other.
This isn't just a walk in the woods; it’s a curated sensory experience designed to lower cortisol, spark creativity, and foster genuine community.
The Flow of the Experience
Arrival & The Spoken Word: We begin our journey at the Eco Hut with a selection of grounding poetry. Let the rhythm of words bridge the gap between your day and the stillness of the forest.
The Art of Stillness: Guided by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing), we will transition into a period of silent sitting. No phones, no goals—just witnessing the dappled light and the breath of the trees.
Group Reflection: Emerging from silence, we’ll gather in a soft circle to share "echoes" from our sit. This is a safe space for insights, observations, or simply a shared moment of presence.
Feast & Fellowship: Nourishment follows reflection. We’ll transition into a communal meal (shared food), allowing the quiet energy of the forest to turn into the warm energy of connection.
Play & Connection: We wrap up the day with lighthearted games and social time. After the deep work of stillness, we celebrate the joy of being together in the wild.
Why Forest Bathing?
"And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul." — John Muir
Scientific studies show that spending intentional time under a forest canopy can significantly reduce stress and boost immune function. At the DDEC Eco Hut, the unique biodiversity provides the perfect backdrop to reset your nervous system and find your "natural" pace.
Space is limited to preserve the tranquility of the experience. Reserve your spot today.
