Welcome to the People's Hearings!

Hosted by Texas State Rep. Nicole Collier in Fort Worth, the Texas Legislative Progressive Caucus is bringing the State Legislature directly to the working families of Texas this summer. Your elected officials in the Texas House and Senate will hold public hearings across the state, hear the stories of struggling Texans, and expose the barriers that keep our families from thriving.

When the Texas Education Agency moved to take over the Fort Worth ISD, they didn't give a seat at the table to our families who will feel the effects the most. Our goal is to deliver working Texans a real voice in their state legislature. The Fort Worth People's hearing will give parents, teachers, and students the floor to speak directly to their elected representatives about the Fort Worth ISD TEA Takeover and what it means for their community.

What is TLPC? The Texas Legislative Progressive Caucus (TLPC) is working to lower the cost of living for all working Texans, regardless of race, heritage, or creed. As elected members of the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate, we introduce and advocate for forward-thinking legislation that puts working families first in the Texas Legislature.
